Inside HOTEL de LEN

HOTEL de LEN brings a distinctly contemporary warmth to the centre of Cortina. Venetian studio GRIS+DAINESE transformed the former Hotel Impero with an angled larch façade that opens towards the light and echoes the rhythm of mountain barns. Inside, spruce, Swiss pine and slate sit alongside dark joinery, vintage pieces and modern furniture, creating a hotel that feels confidently Alpine and entirely of its time.

With only 22 rooms, the shared spaces remain intimate. The restaurant looks across the town and carries the day from breakfast into dinner, while the lower-ground-floor bar gives cocktails and regional ingredients a moodier setting of their own. At the top of the building, the spa opens towards the valley and mountains, with steam baths, sensory showers, a Finnish sauna and outdoor whirlpool. Access is paid and arranged by appointment.

Staying in the centre makes Cortina part of the experience rather than somewhere passed through on the way to the lifts. In winter, the hotel's free shuttle connects guests with Faloria and Freccia nel Cielo, useful starting points on different sides of the ski area. Back in town, restaurants, bars and the evening passeggiata are close at hand. Current shuttle arrangements are best confirmed with reception.

Getting there

Good to know

How do I reach the ski lifts from HOTEL de LEN?

HOTEL de LEN is not ski-in/ski-out. In winter, its free shuttle connects guests with Faloria and Freccia nel Cielo, useful starting points on different sides of Cortina. Ask reception for the current times and return arrangements, then shape the ski day around the most useful lift.

Is HOTEL de LEN's spa included in the room rate?

Spa access is paid and arranged by appointment. The top-floor space includes steam baths, sensory showers, a Finnish sauna, outdoor whirlpool and mountain-facing relaxation area. Ask about the current charge and age policy when booking a time, then plan the spa around your mountain day.

Can non-guests use HOTEL de LEN's restaurant and bar?

Yes. The light-filled restaurant welcomes non-residents from breakfast into dinner, and the lower-ground-floor cocktail bar is open beyond hotel guests too. Check current opening times and book ahead where needed.

Does HOTEL de LEN have parking?

Paid parking is available around 400 metres from the hotel, with valet and non-valet options subject to availability. Confirm your preferred arrangement before driving to Cortina for an easy arrival with luggage.

How should I plan a ski day in Cortina?

Cortina opens onto three distinct sectors: Faloria-Cristallo, Tofane and 5 Torri-Lagazuoi. The hotel shuttle serves Faloria and Freccia nel Cielo for Tofane. Cortina Skyline can link the Tofane side with the approach to 5 Torri, with road transport completing some transitions. The live lift map and last connections will help you make the most of each sector.

What is Cortina like beyond downhill skiing?

Cortina is Anpezo in Ladin, and its Ampezzo identity reaches well beyond skiing. In town, restaurants mix Ladin and Ampezzo cooking with broader Italian influences. Higher up, rifugi turn lunch into part of a mountain day. Walking and other outdoor activities continue through the warmer seasons, with current route and opening information helping you choose the best day to explore.

How do we review each hotel?

We use the hotel’s official information for the stay itself, and relevant official and editorial sources for travel and ski guidance. We only show details while our sources support them, and leave unresolved claims out. Recheck changeable arrangements such as inclusions, schedules, shuttles and seasonal access before booking. Some booking links may earn OpenPeaks a commission, but this does not affect which hotels we include or how we describe them.
