OpenPeaks uses Plausible Analytics to understand page visits, referral sources and a small number of defined interactions, such as whether a booking action was meaningfully visible. Limited analytics events are sent directly from your browser to Plausible at plausible.io. Plausible does not use cookies, local storage or persistent identifiers. It derives a site-specific daily identifier from a rotating salt, the requesting IP address and browser information, then deletes the salt every 24 hours. Raw IP addresses and complete browser strings are not stored. Analytics runs only on published production pages and never on private previews.
When you request a page, our hosting and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details, requested URL and request time. This is used to deliver the service, protect it from abuse and investigate operational failures.
Interactive maps load only in your browser after the page becomes interactive. Map requests may disclose technical request information to OpenFreeMap, OpenStreetMap-related services and Mapterhorn. Following a hotel, booking or journey-planning link takes you to an independent third party whose own privacy terms apply.
OpenPeaks does not use analytics or advertising cookies and does not intentionally store analytics information in local or session storage. Plausible processes analytics on European-owned infrastructure in the EU and does not recognise a visitor across different days, devices or websites. If OpenPeaks later introduces non-essential browser storage, advertising or persistent visitor identifiers, we will review the consent requirements and update this notice before enabling them.
